Notes:

Students were asked, "On how many occasions (if any) have you had alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, sweetened, or hard liquor) to drink in your lifetime-more than just a few sips?" The graph shows the percentage who indicated they drank more than a few sips of alcohol on at least one occasion in their lifetime.

Notes:

Students were asked, "On how many occasions (if any) have you had beer, wine, sweetened alcoholic beverages, or hard liquor to drink during the past 30 days?" The graph shows the percentage who indicated that they drank alcohol on at least one occasion in the past 30 days.

Notes:

Students were asked, "Think back over the last two weeks. How many times have you had five or more alcoholic drinks in a row?" The graph shows the percentage who indicated they had five or more alcoholic drinks in a row on at least one occasion in the last two weeks.

Students were asked, "Think of your four best friends (the friends you feel closest to). In the past year (12 months), how many of your best friends have tried beer, wine, or hard liquor (for example, vodka, whisky, or gin) when their parents didn’t know about it?" The graph shows the percentage who indicated that at least two of their friends used alcohol in the past year.

Students were asked, "In your opinion, on how many occasions do you think most students in your school used alcohol during the past 30 days?" The graph shows the percentage who indicated that most students used alcohol at least once in the past 30 days. This question was added in 2008.

Students were asked, "If you wanted to get some beer, wine, or hard liquor (for example, vodka, whiskey, or gin), how easy would it be for you to get some?" The graph shows the percentage who indicated that alcohol would be very easy or sort of easy to get.

Students were asked, "How much do you think people risk harming themselves (physically or in other ways) if they have five or more drinks of an alcoholic beverage once or twice a week?" The graph shows the percentage who indicated there was a moderate or great risk of harm.

Students were asked, "How wrong do your parents feel it would be for you to have one or two drinks of an alcoholic beverage nearly every day?" The graph shows the percentage who indicated that their parents feel it would be wrong or very wrong. This question was added in 2020.
